Mount Tamborine Vineyards and Winery was originally established by Roger Hart in 1990. The French provincial style winery was designed by Roger and is located at Ballandean in the Granite Belt & comprises of 68 acres of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vintage occurs from February to April each year and the vineyard is widely respected in the region for producing top quality wine grapes, our Shiraz and Cabernet being greatly envied. MTW is a family concern comprising of a partnership between the Tamborine based Hart Family and their much loved family members - Desmond & Rosemary Inglis. Together we have created a thriving business that creates award winning boutique wines with popular home-style comfort food. We are proud that we sell every bottle that we make!We do not believe in buying grapes from other regional growers as we have the luxury of having complete control of the entire process of the grapes life - from the initial pruning, through the growth period until harvest. This year vintage was slightly early, due to the ripeness of our Chardonnay grapes.It was Roger's goal to develop a regional centre that encompassed exceptional Queensland Wine & Food. We are moving closer to our aim of providing the ultimate cuisine and fine wine experience by combining exceptional fresh local produce with our award winning Queensland wines.Bottom line - We love wine - and we believe all wine has merit. Each bottle has a minimum of a year of a wine maker - & viticulturists life and deserves our respect and we believe in making wine to drink & enjoy now.
